KIDSUP’s Preparation for school is a play-based program in Kanata for children aged 4 to 8. Children practise speech, early math, memory, attention and the hand skills they need for writing, in a group of up to 15 children or one-to-one with a teacher. Classes run 9AM–1PM in English, and the tuition fee is $60.

Our teachers use Montessori and Reggio Emilia methods. Children learn by observing and exploring, and the teacher works as an assistant: the child chooses what interests them inside the lesson theme and draws conclusions on their own. Lessons run without criticism or prohibitions, so children keep their curiosity and want to come back.

Preparation for school at KIDSUP is for children aged 4 to 8. Younger children aged 3–6 can start in Early development.

Ontario kindergarten is a free two-year program in public schools for 4- and 5-year-olds. KIDSUP classes are a separate program in Kanata where your child practises the skills that kindergarten and Grade 1 build on, with a teacher’s feedback to you.
