From a team of like-minded people in 2021 to a centre for children aged 3–8 at 150 Katimavik Rd, Kanata.
KIDSUP began in 2021, when a team of like-minded people met to plan a place where children grow and learn. In 2022 experienced educators and psychologists joined and built the programs. The team then spent about a year preparing the premises, equipment and teaching materials. Today the centre at 150 Katimavik Rd in Kanata runs programs for children aged 3 to 8.
The centre is led by Natalia Stepanenko, head of the centre. She has more than 15 years of work in preschool education and is the author of programs for developing children’s creativity.
Teachers use Montessori and Reggio Emilia methods and play-based learning. The centre has classrooms, playrooms and a music studio, and holds open classes and workshops for parents.
