Support and motivation: the importance of praise and confidence in the child

The development of a child's confidence begins at an early age and is the foundation for building their social interaction and self-esteem. In our center we emphasize the importance of encouraging and supporting every achievement, both big and small.

Praise should be specific so that the child understands exactly what he or she is being praised for. Instead of general words like "well done" or "good", we use phrases that emphasize the child's efforts and the specific result of his or her actions: "You worked so hard to draw that tree, and you did a great job!"

It is also important to show the child that a mistake is not a reason to be upset, but an opportunity to learn and develop. We try to create an atmosphere where children are not afraid to try new things, knowing that any outcome will be accepted and discussed from a position of learning, not criticism.

Regular meetings with parents help our teachers to pass on positive reinforcement techniques that parents can use at home, thus creating a unified supportive environment for the child both at the center and at home.
